The recovered covered wire is granule-processed by a special crusher called a granule machine, and becomes a red granule as shown in the photograph. Red granules are magnetically separated (sorted using magnets) on a sorting table to check for iron contamination. At the same time, visually check for foreign materials. This can be a nerve-racking task.
The red granule will then be placed in flexible container bags and drum cans and delivered to the manufacturer as a metal raw material.

The red granule delivered to the manufacturer is melted and cast in an electric furnace or reverberatory furnace. The casting mass is rolled into products such as copper foil.
