Barley is a copper wire which the PVC cover has been peeled off. It is often used in electric power industries, communication, and wiring used in buildings.
The collected wire is stripped by a machine called a peeling machine and becomes Barley.
Visually check whether there are any foreign materials and use a machine called an iron detector to check for iron contamination.
After that, it is pressed, bound, and cut before being inspected one last time using the iron detecter and gets delivered to manufacturers or smelters as raw material.
Barley delivered to the manufacturer is melted and cast in an electric furnace or reverberatory furnace. The cast ingots are remanufactured as semi-finished copper plates and stripped using techniques such as rolling and extrusion.
Such semi-finished products are used for electric wires of infrastructures or electric power and communication equipment. Recycled Barley is used in the production of various products such as terminal parts for mobile phones and connector parts for sensors.
