Coated gunmetal.
Four types of alloys: copper, tin, lead, and zinc. BAC 3, 7, 6, 1 in descending order of tin content.
* There should be no lead-plating gunmetal.
* Coated Brass has exactly the same appearance thus grinding the units to see the inner color is sometimes necessary.
Gunmetal has good castability and excellent corrosion resistance and wear resistance, so it is also used for bearings and works of art.
It can be said that the sources are mainly valves around water, bearings of machines, and statues.
The collected coated gunmetal is first spread on a sorting table and checked for iron contamination with an iron piece detector.
At the same time, a visual check or checking using a grinder is performed to check if there is any foreign material such as brass or leftovers such as plastic.
The plated gunmetal that has been inspected there is packed in a flexible container, then finally inspected again with an iron detector and delivered to the manufacturer as a raw material.
The coated gunmetal delivered to the manufacturer is melted and cast in a reverberatory furnace or electric furnace to manufacture ingots. They will then be cast into valves and water meters.
