NIGHT(Brass turnings)
Basically, free-cutting brass rod shavings and non-permed items. Shall not include any amount of Bismuth.
* Oil (cutting oil) of up to 0.8% is tolerated.
* If the oil content is 4% the weight or more, the material shall be deemed unqualified and returned.
Origin
Brass powder is generated mainly from the cutting of brass rods in brass rod processing factories.
Since it's scraped using cutting oil, oil is inevitably mixed in. Though the processing factories try to remove oil and water to some extent, a certain amount of oil and water always remains nonetheless.
The processing factories cut about half of the purchased brass rods to manufacture products thus the distribution of brass powder is regarded as a very important thing for processing factories.

The recovered brass powder is first checked for iron powder, manganese powder, Arms powder, etc. by a strong magnet. At the same time, visually checking for aluminum powder and other substances is vital.
After that, collectors must measure whether the oil and moisture percentages are within the allowed range.
After all inspection processes, brass powder is packed in flexible containers or shipped as it is (in bulk) as a metal raw material.
Manufacturer
Brass powder delivered to the manufacturer is also inspected to verify the oil percentage and composition. Brass powder that has passed the inspection is placed in a rotary combustor to remove oil and moisture. After that, the material is melted and cast. The cast ingots are made into semi-finished products called brass rods by techniques such as rolling and extrusion.
Such semi-finished products will be recycled into various products such as faucet-related valves and the tip of ballpoint pens.
